CAD Operators

Description

Responsibilities:

1. Design Creation and Modification:

   • Using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit) to create technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
   • Modify existing designs based on feedback or changes in specifications.

2. Drafting:

   • Convert rough sketches and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
   • Produce detailed drawings with accurate measurements, symbols, and notations according to industry standards.

3. Collaboration with Engineers and Architects:

   • Work closely with engineers, architects, or designers to understand project requirements.
   • Incorporate feedback and design changes into CAD files.

4. Quality Control:

   • Ensure designs comply with codes, standards, and regulations.
   • Conduct thorough checks for errors in drawings, such as scale issues or misalignments.

5. Documentation:

   • Maintain proper documentation of all CAD files and versions.
   • Organize files for easy retrieval and ensure proper archiving practices.

6. 3D Modeling and Visualization:

   • Develop 3D models of structures, parts, or products for visualization, simulation, or prototyping.
   • Use software to simulate the design in real-world environments and test for functionality.

7. Technical Support:

   • Provide assistance to team members or clients in understanding technical drawings.
   • Ensure that all CAD files are accessible and easily editable when needed.

8. Up-to-date Software Knowledge:

   • Stay current with the latest updates and features in CAD software to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

9. Project Coordination:

   • Assist in project planning by creating timelines, managing design changes, and communicating with different departments.

Skills and Qualifications:

1. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, etc.)
2. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and specifications.
4. Understanding of engineering, architectural, and construction principles.
